Is it good to train through the ache?

Like have trained Monday and had a tough day at work Tuesday and have been aching like mad all day today. So is it advisable to go and train even when you have the major aches after?

Thoughts?

No pain no gain?

Weirdly just thinking this. Got major Dom’s in the pecs but at a loose end tonight and probably going gym. Don’t want to overdo it so may do leg day

Depends on the pain, mate!

If injured, no. If a bit of DOMS you should be fine - but maybe work out a programme so you're not hitting the same body parts in consecutive sessions. Means the soreness will have longer to 'heal' between sessions.

100% this. Rest is when the muscle repairs - and grows!

It depends. If you're just a bit stiff it could help, if it's really bad then take a break or maybe go for a swim.

Ice baths are also great for recovery

SW Scotland

You’ll know yourself if it’s a pain or aching muscles.

Light work (50%) load of the previous day is a great way to get rids of doms.
