If you had a choice to live life with or without emotions what would you choose?

If say no emotion.

La la land

Definitely live with emotions, I mean not cherishing my kid's smiles or welling up at their nativity for example. I'd put with any negatives just to have those positive ones.

With. As fucked up as they can make us, what a pathetic excuse of a life it would be if you didn't feel happy, sad, fearful, angry, excited, rejected, etc.

Fear is one of the most important emotions as it is one of reasons living creatures survive. Without it we would have all died off a long ass time ago.

Emotions are the catalyst in motivating human behaviour and allow communication beyond that which mere words convey.

Without them we are nothing more than automata.

What would be the point of living without them? One of our main driving forces is happiness, if we didn't have that why would we bother?

We'd have no connections with other people either, just a solitary life with no purpose.

On days when I consider emotions to be an unnecessary burden in my life (it happens), I seek mental health first aid.

Never sure why people think emotions are bad ... laughter, love, happiness are all emotions and I definitely wouldn't want to live without them. Having seen friends go on antidepressants that neutralise emotions I wouldn't want that because it takes the good away with the bad!

I've been on antidepressants most of my life, and they don't neutralise my emotions. Well, they may cap the top end, but I rarely get there. They stop me living the vast majority of my life in the deepest pits of despair.

Emotions are great as long as you know they are invariably inaccurate and exaggerated responses so don’t let them drive important decisions!

Oh I didn't mean they're not good in any way it's only how a couple of my friends have described it to me!

They're probably on not ideal antidepressants, then. Mine let me live my best life.

With emotions.

Having been on antidepressants that numbed any emotional feeling I had about anything and everything, I would much rather feel.

"If you had a choice to live life with or without emotions what would you choose?

A human without emotion, such as empathy, is a human who feels no pain, neither their own or that of others, e.g. serial killers.

I think you have to be twisted in the head to be a serial killer too

As difficult and wonderful as they can be emotions are what makes us human.

I couldn’t imagine going through life like a robot and not embracing every emotion there is to experience.

Good or bad we need them.

I choose a life with the rollercoaster emotional ride.
