Being without my car..

Walking down the only road I've ever known!

It feels so frustrating at the minute, we take everything for granted until we lose our independence.

I'm relying on lifts too and from work and when I nip to the shops I hope I haven't forgotten anything as I'm not doing a 45 minute round trip walk to the shops again if I have.

First world problems.

I felt the same when mine broke. Is it wrong to say I missed it more than I miss my kids? X

Nothing worse than having no car, I would be screwed without mine.

Which reminds me I need to book it in for a service an oil change

Same I forgot about MOT and my tax ran out 31st December so haven’t been able to drive it. Had to wait for money to buy 2 front tyres before I could book it in and earliest slot is tomorrow afternoon. Sure that’s how I’ve picked up this flu from walking everywhere!

I had a problem with mine on Boxing day. Serpentine belt slipped off (suspected water pump was leaking, dripping onto belt)

Had to get recovered home.

Ordered a new pump, but when fitting it, I discovered that the bolts attaching the AC Compressor had sheared and it was hanging off.

New bracket and bolts ordered. Just waiting for them to arrive so I can get it sorted.

I’ve just panicked because I started a job on my car that I thought I wasn’t gonna finish tonight and I’m back in work tomorrow. Literally just finished and put my tools away though. Hate not having my car.

That is why I permanently tax insure and maintain a car, a van, and 3 motorbikes. Need to avoid trains and buses!

Some good news, there are good people out there, a guy at work has just offered me the loan of second car until mine is fixed.

It is and as you know me, I was lost for words as these things don't normally happen to me.
