I was pretty measured over the silly season but now I have leftover Christmas gin winking at me every evening!

I think it's a bit of the January blues and I'm self soothing!

What have you got left over and more importantly, how's your January blues?

Manchester (she/her)

Nothing.

Up and down. I've just been for a run and I'm hoping for a nice endorphin kick.

.

Gin, wine, champagne. It's gone in the pantry and I'm not touching it.

My January blues are... I don't know right now in all honesty. Happiness and some sadness. That's just life rather than seasonal I think. I'm hoping to video call a friend soon and have a hot bath and probably do a mini fab detox.

I have put my middle finger up to the January blues. Booked a holiday. The plan is by the end of January balls out in the Sun.

I kinda just ignore Christmas and look ahead. I actually really enjoy the emptiness of January and try to do some nice things.

There’s something beginning with “B” that’s making it a lot harder this year, but let’s not get into that .

January’s fine

Wirral

I have a metric shit-tonne of gin but don't drink much as a rule so it'll probably be there next year too.

I don't have the blues but I would love to get away from my own head for a little while. Nothing to do with January, everything to do with my own ridiculousness.

I've just received a heap of semi-dried black cherries from a supplier, so I may make some biscuits tonight to bring into work in the morning, chunky cherry and chocolate maybe.

On top of the gym, I can also recommend an SAD light, vitamin D capsules, and shitty music to sing when no one is listening.

I used to have a sad light years ago. Good reminder thanks.

My kids are mixed race so I give them vit D all year round until summer basically, as their skin pigment doesn't absorb it so well. Maybe mama could share

I got a refurbished one years ago. Practically new, dinged cardboard box, 30% off.

The South Near That London

Loads of wine and beers, both laid up with stinking colds most of Xmas so didn’t really touch any of it - no January blues though, it’s my birthday next week, so will be starting the celebrations this weekend
