Serendipity

I’m lucky as the countryside is stunning, the people are friendly and there’s plenty of employment.

What about where you are?

Rochester

Yep.

We have the River Thames on one side.

The River Medway on the other

And the sea straight ahead.

Lovely and quiet. Perfect

No. Purely because I want it for myself and don’t want hordes of people flocking here and changeing it into something else. We get enough as it is.

Hmmm... if you like mountains and snow, and really beautiful summers due to the Gulf Stream.... then Moray is the place for you....

For my particular penchant for BDSM..... not so much

Okehampton

I live in both Devon and Cornwall. I can recommend both, if you like the quiet life, open moorland, lots of countryside, beaches, the sea and a slower pace of life.

Not recommended if you like clubbing

Yes

It's a place of peace open fields high trees rivers streams hills and valleys history stone cottages and country mansions timeless beauty where birds sing rabbits do what rabbits do squirrels dance down silent lanes and deer just stand and stare.

I rather like it here...

city

No, no community.

All the houses are being bought by investors and the bedrooms rented out, or the house put on airbnb.

Instead of a young couple moving into a 2 bed that comes on the market, its going to 2/3 renters and 3/4 students/migrant workers/people with no money for anything else, going into it.

Definitely, people come from all over the world to visit York with its medieval city walls, shambles, cobbled streets, minster and restaurants. As someone who doesn't really like cities I like it there.

Yes I would....

Central to everywhere, less than a mile from the Welsh border. Very rural steeped in History. Very touristy area.

Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester all less than an hour and a half away.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Hundreds of acres of beautiful beech woods here but the town itself is sadly rather grim (and getting worse).

I’d recommend living where I do, on the outskirts therefore.

On a mooch

For city life yes, as I forget sometimes in live in central London

It’s quiet, I look at water, wildlife galore lives here. Five minute walk and I’m in the park or getting lost in the farm. 15 minute walk I’m getting lost in greenwich Park, far away from the observatory and tourists; enjoying the views of the city, before walking through the woods watching the squirrels play before arriving in the flower garden, my place of silence and tranquility

If you want the hustle and bustle grab the boat down the Thames or take a train and you’re there in 30 minutes.

My little world of everything

Not especially job wise, though there is nice countryside (and dogging spots!).. the nightlife isn't bad and Leeds and Manchester are both very accessible.
