Send them a message saying 'eeeek I'm nervous'. A sweet response can help.

Laugh at myself, stay light with it all, it's part of the excitement.

Trust the situation will unfold in the way it's supposed to ie I try not to attach to a particular outcome.

If I'm really freaking out I'll speak to my bf who is also my safety buddy x

I try and reframe it and see it as natural adrenaline which is good. If I didn't feel that way, there'd be little to no point in meeting them.

Generally I talk to a couple of good friends who remind me of my worth and that goes some way to alleviating the "oh fuck" feeling. And remembering that it's fun and how much I enjoy meeting others. Sometimes hearing that the other person is excited/nervous helps as well.

I love those first meet nerves, the butterflies in the stomach the heart pumping, it's mostly adrenaline and perfectly normal, I would say everyone gets them. Just enjoy the excitement and expectation of it all.

I don’t meet anymore but when I was meeting new people it used to be part of the experience - I used to see it as a challenge to get the nerves under control and appear perfectly relaxed and confident when really you wanted to run

Sort of this. I’m not a naturally confident person but I get a buzz from the nerves. Same way I get nervous before I take part in a sporting event or things like that.

I wouldn't say i get nerves, I'm just me, same guy in person as in the message exchange. If they like me in my messages then it's only the look from photo to the in person look and I'm always well presented.
