Once they put out those tentacles with small plants on the end and you've potted hundreds up so you have not a surface left. Is it ok to cut the others off?

How do you get babies off a spider plant?

Mine has loads of the boys growing on the end,

But I don’t know what to do with them

Youre supposed to plant them in little pots, while theyre still attached to their mother.

But you can just chop them off and bung them in another pot, really

Strawberry plants behave in a very similar way, they are just less hardy than spider plants.

I've got aloe vera too, it's literally indestructible. If there's a nuclear winter cockroaches and aloe vera will repopulate the earth.

How odd. Your comment has somehow reminded me of all the Mexican hat plants we had round the house as a kid.

I'd forgotten about them. I used to love planting them in more pots.

I'll add to that Loganberries. There were some when I moved house. It took me 3 years of squinting every mortal leaf that poked it's nose above ground every week to kill. Oh and chives, chives are romping around my garden self seeding
