I know it is a site which is based on having but why when you post a meet for * just * a social does it seem such a negative - not sure that's the right word. But anyway am certain its nice to not leap into bed with a stranger or just hang out with someone knew who's intentions are genuine.

I don't think posting for a social is seen as negative. It will probably get less interest than one where sex is offered though.

A social is always a good thing, getting to know someone before/if anything else happens is a way of finding it that click/spark is there.

Many act like robots on here and are willing just to meet and drop their pants without finding a little out about the person.

Definitely not for me

Precautions are a must in most things we do nowadays, but those who think were fake for doing this then are definitely for the delete button haha.

I’ve been swinging on and off for around 10 years and I’ve read some crazy stories haha.

Definitely prefer to have those social meets and check the chemistry is there as this just makes everything far more intense

We had a group social in a glasgow pub yesterday, I got the train into glasgow at 2pm and got home after midnight! We had a great time, met new and old friends and it was so easy to chat to everyone with no pressure of thinking he is wanting me to have sex with him soon!

I go out a lot socially with friends male and female but it’s good to go out socially with likeminded people laughing about disastrous meets and gasping at outstanding meets

I always like a social to check there is a bit of chemistry. I also genuinely like getting to know people, and I find with the right people that initial bit of flirting just heightens desire as the anticipation builds.

I've never been to an organised social event so can't comment on those, but if a guy flatly refused to go for a coffee or a drink then clearly we're on very different wavelengths and there isn't much chance I'm going to want to take things further.

I refuse social meets. Interesting that people see that as can't be trusted.

What it actually means is my life is busy. I've no need for a friendly cup of coffee. I want sex. I know what I like from a sexual partner. I'm perfectly capable of ascertaining if a potential meet has that without actually meeting.

Group socials are a great way of meeting people and I have been to many over the years and met some great friends

Solo "check if we click" socials I gave up a few years ago really. If I want sex or sexy interaction, its easier just to go to a club or event and interact with people there. Whenever I have put a status up wondering if anyone fancies a local drink I am always inundated with the "why dont you just come to mine instead" messages and have found that a large proportion of the guys local to me are just seeking the free escort home visit rather than to make friends or socialise in any way.

Some people enjoy socials, some don't - I guess it depends what you're looking for I don't think it's viewed particularly negatively, and if it is by some people, they're not for you.

Socials are good, and if the person you've arranged to meet doesn't turn up then there's no hardship, plus it gives you an indication as to whether they'd have turned up for a sex meet.

Also socials are an excellent way for both parties to gauge whether or not there's chemistry.
