I was doing low carbs prior to Christmas. My

first day back being good today.

My goals between now and Easter are to shift more weight.

To attend the gym at least twice a week.

To get back into swimming.

So wether it's weight gain, loss, fitness or any other goals post here.

Definitely aim to build more muscle and regain some of my former tone, as well as work more on my cardio.

It’s all about forming the habit of exercise and eating well. Once it becomes a routine activity you will quickly see progress and results. Stay positive, enjoy and set yourself goals and rewards and it will be wee buns! Keep us posted!

My main goal is to just be fitter than last year, shouldn’t be hard really.

I’ve tarted off well by getting on my bike every other day, so far.

I'd love to lose about 2 stone, but that's ambitious for one year.

To go for a run at least once a week. I did a nice 4 miles yesterday (despite all the hills!), it was a comfortable start.

Not ambitious.

I've cut out bread, crisps, biscuits and doing dry January and in 5 days I've lost 6 pounds. I've not really started exercise properly yet. My target 1.5stone so.well on the way.

I have set a few goals for the year !!!!

1) accepting a chronic condition is not great but it is it’s good and bad days - mental health fitness

2) run 300km with 400km being a stretch goal

3) get pb on 5km to less than 28 mins (currently at 29.56), but set goal when it was 31.33, with 27min being a stretch goal

4) run 1/2 of the different London park runs!!! There are 56 in total. So 23 have to be done. 1 done so far.

All very achievable goals but there are something to aim for. Also after seeing a photo of me liking like beached whale running I realised that that is not helping me !!!

We are both getting back to regular walking together this week, diet back on track as well although it wasn’t bad before Xmas, some good healthy recipes learned in 2019 hopefully a few more for 2020 to and also fit in a spin class together once a week when we can manage it around our shift work... we both want to be healthier as a couple & in turn feel sexier about ourselves for ourselves and of course any future meets.., it’s definitely all about the confidence and mind set, good luck to everyone else with their new goals for 2020 on the the thread and a great post by the OP as when you write something down (anywhere) and also share your goals with others (including like minded people) you are much more likely to stay motivated and complete your tasks C&J xx

Don’t get too obsessed by arbitrary goals - just do your best to make a positive change in your life, and do it for yourself and for nobody else

I've joined rebelfit which concentrates on healthy body and mind over weight loss, although obviously I need to lose weight, I need to get a healthy relationship with food and exercise to enable me to reach my long term goals. I'm quite excited to start the missions

If that butt changes, I’ll be plunged into deep mourning . That avatar gets me every time it appears .

Being serious though - good luck to you and anyone making changes.

"I'd love to lose about 2 stone, but that's ambitious for one year."

I lost two stone a few years back x

It’s realistic if you make a few simple changes x

1- make smarter eating choices

2 - move more

3 - drink less x

I used an app to track my progress x

It was totally doable and I didn’t feel I was denying myself x

I started this time of year and achieved it before going on my holidays x

I’m starting again to los a stone before Easter x

Pleas pm me if you want more details x help x encouragement x or support x

I've already started back at the gym recently, may even start eating boring healthy stuff for a few weeks and see if I can get a very vague outline of a six pack

We would both like to knock off a bit of weight, the gym is a none starter though as we both carry serious injuries, H natural, mine bike related so we’ll concentrate on our diet & walking more.

Also loose 8% of body weight by this time next year. With a stretch of 10%!!! Not only will I feel healthier, my times for running should decrease as well!!!
