Almost 6 years, and I was vegetarian a few years before that. I learned about the cruelty involved in the industries I was supporting and it just clicked into place that saying I loved animals while paying for them to be killed/abused/exploited made me a hypocrite, and I chose to change my behaviour to reflect my morals. I've never looked back.

It depends upon my mood... Sometimes, when I need a thrill, I like the buzz of whitewater kayaking or taking the motorbike for a blast along a favourite road. When I'm feeling more pensive, I like paddling gently through the mist on a flat calm lake, or walking in a forest. When I need to stretch my grey cells I jump into writing a short story, or lose myself in the details of coding or trigonometry, or vent my passion with egalitarianist polemics. Other times, I just let myself go into a fantasy and swim in self pleasure.

The number one reason is that they haven't read my profile, I usually delete those messages straight away. Then even if they have but their profile is blank/they have no profile picture or I just don't think they're what I'm looking for, I won't reply or I'll politely decline.

So I don't know, maybe about 1 in every 50.
