They make up part of who you are. Not weaker, not stronger, just you.

Everyone has emotions so they can't make you weaker. What makes you weaker is not understanding them or paying attention to them

No, emotions make you stronger.

Emotions trigger other reactions within you.

Exactly, or allowing them to completely take the place of rational thought when making decisions.

Eventually - they make you stronger.

When you recognise them, when you learn about how they are affected, when you learn wisdom and self control, when you use them to tune into others and to understand yourself.

Blubbing like a baby every time you get the leccy bill is emotional weakness and immaturity.

Working out how to pay the bill or save on the leccy is maturity.

The emotional shock will have been the same but you learn how to handle yourself differently

Bad example me thinks but you get the drift.

No my ability to identify and express my emotions appropriately and deal with undesirable emotions effectively

is a strength. I see it as an important part of my personal development.

As said, being able to accept and deal with them makes you strong.

Denying or ignoring them fucks things up enormously; no matter how much you hide them behind a screen or nail them into a box, they always get out and when they do it’s havoc unless you can deal with them

No. Being scared to show your emotions or hiding them makes you weaker.

No I think they can make you stronger. But sometimes they hurt and sometimes people take advantage of your emotions

I personally think it depends on the situation.

Some situations call for an emotional response and some need to be made excluding an emotion.

Positive emotions make me stronger. Negative emotions make me weaker. Positive emotions can also make you weak if you have no control over them.

Emotions don't make you weaker.

Not properly acknowledging and handling natural emotions is the danger, not emotions themselves.

No. Only if you aren't genuine to yourself.

"I personally think it depends on the situation.

"

However if you need to think clearly in an emotional situation, emotional competence is required. Knowing how to process the emotion effectively to clear your thoughts is a real strength.

"No but some people aren't strong enough to handle them."

Fully agree with this. Emotions themselves are nothing. The ability to handle, control, direct, and make use of them are what causes strength and weakness.

One emotion can be harnessed in different ways.

But some decisions (i.e. Business) need the emotion taken away in order for them to work best.

Not being able to handle them or keep a lid on them makes you weaker than someone that can, I think.

No.

I've seen you make posts on this previously OP, how you believe men who cry are weak etc.

You're talking out your arse and you're wrong.

Oooh. Making me go all weak at the knees ... Of course emotion is good. And of course that means for all humans regardless of gender.
