Tbf it's easy to see why she did that. To those who have been on here years, 95% of the forum chat is the rehashed format, circumstances, subjects and debate that has all been done before many times in the last decade or more. Only the usernames are different.

Also comparing the forums now to that of a decade ago the big difference is that posters then spoke more freely and off the top of their heads without worrying too much about half a dozen snowflake reports going in against them and the inevitable ban, as the way the mods enforce forum rules has had to tighten up a lot to accommodate the much more sensitive and easily offended users that have joined Fab in recent years.

Not talking about blatantly offensive subjects such as out and out racism, etc, but the day to day disagreements that get a little heated. The forums of 2010 would generally police themselves with most of these issues as there were fewer users who knew each others' foibles a lot more in depth and generally they were used to sorting out their differences between each other like responsible adults and either one would apologise to the other after a period of rowing and calming down or they'd agree to disagree in the main. There were a few users who this wasn't possible for, but they'd tend to leave Fab as most other forum users would give them short shrift.

The number of trolls were far far less than now too, even proportionately, as Fab was a site unheard of in the maistream so not many thought of joining it purely to wind up.

Mods would only intervene on the forums as a last resort, whereas now I imagine they have to face a constant stream of knee-jerk reactions in case the more sensitive souls get offended in number even over things that would have seemed trivial ten years ago. And the more offended mindset of today is less used to having to deal with their disagreements personally and rationally, nor making allowances for others, so they will instead tend to get on their soapbox, stamp their feet and fire off a report in the first instance.

All of this was all too apparent to Mavis bless her, so she did what she could to try and start and steer forum threads in different directions to the ones that had became mundane to her and a few other long-standing members. Obviously the more sensitive souls found this incomprehensible. It's also one reason the PM game and Secret Service threads are so successful as they offer a degree of more freedom in posting, which was tantamount to what the regular posts were a lot more like in 2010.

She left, came back as Lola and changed it back to Poochiepoo

Now UNLOS and loved up.

I don't know most of these names though, still a bit fresh in the forums.

A complex fellow, GK. I liked him here.

Too many that make a puddle look like Lake Baikal.

I assumed it wasn’t necessary to have to repeat a post. So no, your assumption is inaccurate.

I can see the similarity. You are pretty damn hot too in the same ways, if you don't mind my saying so.

She had talked about meeting us too. Sadly that will probably not happen now.

Well indeed she may.

Regarding sizes, I'd quite like to compare and contrast, but somehow I imagine that's off the table.

"Steelheels/doris/mavis - i think she sometimes acted as devil's advocate to stir threads up a bit, but she was very fair and unprejudiced. I imagine her to be sitting on the sidelines now, watching us quietly, going to pop up again unexpectedly...

B "

You have rose coloured glasses on, the rules of 2010 are the same as they are now. No matter how many reports are sent in, unless a person has broken those rules then bans won't be given out. Only the person who has typed something against rules can get themselves banned

As someone that was around in those days I don't think it is just the view of bans in that post that are through rose tinted glasses.

I know at one time you could scroll back and see some really old threads and they were far more than they are these days. The forums are far friendlier and far more diverse these days

"About someones ban? or a general question?"

There was a post on here which seems to have disappeared which said that the member under discussion was offered a reprieve but refused to return because of hypocrisy.

Doesn't this constitute a criticism of Admin?

Or have I misinterpreted the meaning?

I quoted that post and removed the others that made more accusations on it

It isn't fair that Admin have lies said against them. That and peoples bans were being discussed. None of which is allowed on the forum

Again, like above, the only time people are banned is if they write or do something that is against rules. If they carry on breaking those rules then they should expect to not being able to post at all. Admin can only give so many chances.
