What are your 2020 fitness goals?

Continue here it was fun seeing the replys, hello it is soon 2020 a new year with new goals, what are your fitness goals next year? Mine is to continue to be on my slow bulk program and to get bigger. I have also started to swim so I want to get a better time on 50m it is fun

2020 is gonna be a big one for me, I've already lost 7 stone but I've let it creep back on in the last few months so I'm not happy again. I want to lose another stone or two, particularly work on my mum tum. Plus my general fitness is shocking so I am gonna kick myself Into gear. Bring on the new year

Lots of goals!!

Hitting the menapause last year, massive weight gain, loosing my gym mojo

So, get my arse back in the gym, start training again, soon as the kids are back at school.

3st to loose, and get those lifts going again.

I doubt I'll be ready to compete this spring, but it's definitely an end of year goal

Nothing too drastic, just be more consistent at the gym to actually try and improve!

And stick with my mostly carnivore (KetoAF) way of eating along with trying a few more regular fasts, up to 24h.

I'm 72 kg and bench 100 for reps you do the simple maths

If I do a press up I can do a full body push up that's 72 kg or a split weight at any ratio I want standard plank would be approx 60 percent bw thus 60 kg for 100 kg man or 42 ish for me

Power to weight is always my method, always trying to improve my planche iron cross single arm pull ups basically anything that compliments a mountain athlete"

I got two sets of scales out, and did a push up. Each arm had 25kg on it. So the 2/3 ration works as im 75kg.

I wish you well today I decided my 30 wk goal is going to be

Permanently lose 1.5 kg fat

Add 1kg to my bodyweight

Deadlift 190 kg for reps

Dumbbell chest press 100 kg for reps

One arm pull ups for reps

And enhance my serotonin levels naturally and smile every day

I will be adjusting my exercises and nutrition to ensure my goals are reality x

Well 2019 was a landmark year for me insofar as I finally managed to fix the weight issue that has been pissing on my chips since adolescence. I've dropped from about 120kg to 80kg, I'm aiming for about 75 which is meant to be optimal for someone of my height and gender. In clothing terms I've gone from barely fitting a 42" waist and XXL shirts to a 32" and medium. I feel so much better it's unreal. (nb the obesitiy was mostly caused by cortisol overload causing magnesium deficiency more than poor diet - I've generally always eaten fairly healthily, however I have now reduced my intake of starchy foods by about 90% so no rice, pasta, potatoes or bread except for a couple of times a week. I've never been a big sugar eater, but I do still have a few pints dozen the pub a couple of times a week, and wine with dinner so I've not gone completely mental lol.

My goal for this year is to lose the remaining wobbly stuff then focus on building my stamina and getting more toned. I'm hoping the loose folds of skin go away though as my belly looks a bit like a deflated balloon now! I'm not a big fan of the gym so I am aiming to achieve this through working more physical jobs - typically I've been a desk-jockey - and once the weather improves, swimming and more outdoorsy stuff.

I also do yoga and I do the ashtanga one, which one do you do? I can do the headstand but only with support from the wall

Thanks. At the moment it’s just hard trying to persuade her that life is worth living. Running out of ideas/avenues. This is when being a single parent is shite - no-one to share the burden or just hug you and tell you it’ll be ok!

To be comfortable in my own skin in what l do fitness wise ,I've finished competing in competitive sports so it's just for fitness and for health in mind and body now ,at my own pace and times ,and to continue enjoying it , Everything with fitness with me now is age related ,not competing with guys 10/15 younger in sports so will do things at my own pace ,30 mins ,4/5 times a week and watch what l eat .
