What's everyone watching? I need new stuff. I read on here that The Witcher was poor...

I just watched The Two Popes which might have the best written script I've come across all year. It's a slow intellectual and emotional piece so if that's not your bag...

Not Netflix, but BBC iplayer - I’m going to trial the new Norwegian crime drama starring Carrie Ann Moss called Wisting. Love me some Scandi-noir.

For anyone who likes a bit of a romantic, wholesome type series ... there is one on Netflix called virgin river, that has been a good watch.

Not usually my type of thing, I like action and gore, but it has been a nice easy watch with endearing, relatable characters.

Some very tense interview scenes and based on true events.

Yes, I managed to watch all the seasons eventually, but the quality is very variable (Hannibal much the same).

I really enjoyed Russian Doll if you've not done it yet. Odd, funny, sweet, and I love the main character.

I like going back and properly watching a classic, that I only really watched originally in a random way (usually missing episodes). How I Met Your Mother was a good one for that.

Yeah your eyes can't stray from one screen to another if it's a foreign language on screen. Also sod over dubbing in English even tho Netflix does give you the option.

The one series that I recommend which people seem to have missed is Quarry.

Brilliant series, set in Memphis in 1972, a former soldier returns home from Vietnam. Excellent story, great characters and soundtrack. It's also a one-off series so no waiting around for season 2.
