2019 Review

your imagination

As the final days of the twenty-teens draw to a close and we look forward to next year and everything it has to offer, how was 2019 on Fab for you? Did you join this year? Did you get your first meet? Dip your toe in the social or club scene? Find that elusive fwb? Pop your anal cherry? Have your first bi experience? Finally pluck up the courage to google Munting (and immediately regretted it)? Or has it been a year much like any other?

For me it's been a mixed bag... some disappointments like missing out on attending the MLS and catching up with some wonderful people, but also some fun photo challenges on the forums that made me realise that goddammit yes... I do look good even in a bin bag, just how tempting it is to send everyone a pic of your 'morning glory'..... and also resulted in me accidentally sending my first ever foof pic to several people on a face pic Friday thread! (I blame Nora for that one! )

Manchester (he/him)

It's been a bit of a mixed bag for me; the first half was rather fraught but after summer it's been much better. I've met some lovely people, reconnected with old friends and got to a group social.

I've also met a fantastic person who I absolutely adore, so the year is ending on an absolute high.

It's been amazing we met each other. Up to that point my fab life had been a bit of a rollercoaster. Also been to a few MLS (including 2 together) and met some amazing people who I class as friends

.

If you'd have said to me last year "Oh Meli, so and so want to meet you" I'd have laughed and told you to pull the other one. And the fact they want to keep seeing me *and* have sex with me? Mind blown.

I went back to a club for the first time in a few years after a particularly awful experience. I was dreading it but it's made me determined to go back in the new year and enjoy myself and remove the stick up my arse.

The MLS has been a hoot as ever. I found out someone I think is fit as fuck (albeit a bit of a doofus) thinks the same about me.

I also learned it's okay to say, hey, this isn't working for me in whatever capacity that might be. Do it nicely? Sure. But I don't need to give energy to people that isn't matched or don't lift me.

But the most important thing is the friendships I've made. I don't always see eye to eye with people - I'm too much of a stubborn bitch. The friends I've made though have supported me through late night crying, wobbles about the future and made me laugh so much with their blunt ways and their Disney takes on life. This year has really shown me how much I value those people in my life.

I had my first meets in 5 years this year. One horizontal and two socials. The year started fabulously it I lost my way during the year. I’m set for a much better one this year already and I’m both intending hoping to meet quite a few new people and if possible people I’ve met already, in 2020

I must be feeling extra 'mushy' today because that actually made me smile and say 'awwwwww' out loud! Hope next year is a whopper year for you both!

Dipping toe back in the water year. Not that I ever got much further than the paddling pool. I hadn’t even graduated to wearing armbands when I stopped 5 years previously.

Manchester (she/her)

Very mixed year.

Some lows, I won't dwell. Pushing myself too far, not trusting my instincts, not looking after myself.

Some incredible experiences with wonderful people.

Learning to believe in myself, with a lot of help from friends. Challenging, painful, liberating. Seeing myself closer to how others see me, gradually. Pushing the boundaries of what I thought possible for me, usually prevailing.

Figuring out who my friends are, navigating often fraught situations and managing OK.

Good to hear Meli and YeOldeWD.

I've had a mixed year - helping family with some shocking health issues and just enjoying myself with what fun I've needed, as good balance. 2020 will be great.

North East

Finally plucking up the courage to dip my toe into the Club after years of on and off private meets.

My aim going forward is to explore that more, different clubs in different parts of the country.

and maybe a couple of fun trips into Europe.

New to Fab this year, left after two weeks as not young, slim or pretty enough. Then after 24hrs thought fuck it and rejoined

Met some ( ) people, eye opener on self awareness level.

First ( but not last) female experience.

This year sum up a good start and next year awesome.

Ps while standing on a podium crying just want to thank everyone who has known me! You know who you are even if not name checked in the Veris. X

Chams or Socials

Fab life has been social only due to my operation (has been so good to re-connect with friends we lost touch with & to make new ones) but we’ve just celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary after meeting here in 2015! Very much looking forward to 2020 & seeing what it brings

Brighton - even Hove!

I was on and off fab several times this year. I deliberately didn’t meet anyone new because I had a non Fab lady friend who, although she enjoyed sex with me, didn’t fancy swinging per se. For 2020 I’m arranging a social with a lady and hopefully two mmf’s to arrange. 2019 has been good. 2020 will be even better

2019. First online dating/fucking site ever. So glad I chose Fab. Had some wonderful dates and met some great people. I know that sounds cliched but that’s the way it is. For the first time ever, I’m getting on with likeminded women and I’m loving it.

Personal life in the real world has been shite, but fab has kept my mind occupied when it needed it most.

Roll on 2020 and let the fab experiences continue. See you in Dublin OP...
