for your dream job??

this came up because over 1000 former players are sueing the NFL over injuries cause thru hits and other things...

the average NFL player lives 15 yrs less than the rest of the population.....

so got me to thinking would you consider it if you could.......

I would think the shorter life has nothing to do with playing because as players they would have had an excellent fitness regime and the best health care.

You are looking at it from a very narrow perspective.

Lots of sports it's common for those at the top level to die comparively young. There is a different between being fit and being healthy. that level of training puts an incredible strain on the heart. And that's not even considering performance enhancing drugs.

What really intrigues me is that that many players are suing the govrning boidy for what most be an accepted risk! America's compensation culture is crazy!

Not really I am putting across a point and I suspect American Football isn't in the 1op 25 most dangerous sports never mind the top 5.

What really makes sports people die earlier then the general population? Well my bet would be on MONEY and what they over indulge after a playing carer on.

Also, if the average players live 15 years less than the normal population, do the better more skilful players do better?

They may avoid more hits, or give more as appropriate. it would appear that the best you can do to a fast wide receiver is give him a little push.

That said, i would not wish to see again the horrific and sickening injury suffered by Joe Theissman, the way his leg was bent to and fro. Thankfully rare.

i would, they recon the average life now is 80 years old, id quite happily die at 65 to live my life on the money they have now, lots of people in their late 60s and 70s are in care home so lets face it if you die at 65 your not missing the best years of your life are you?
