Bradford

I went to the chippy last week and came away hungry and disappointed.

"Haddock and chips please" i said.

"Sorry mate, we're finished for the day"

"But i want Haddock and Chips please".

"Sorry mate but were out of fish"

"But it's for me tea, i want Haddock and Chips, please."

"Look here" he said, "spell haddock with an F."

"But there is no f in haddock" says i.

"Correct" he says, "now fook off, we're closed"

Yeah. Fish, good haddock, from around £2.50. Three portion sizes of chips too, curvy, ample and fabulous.

It would be great if it didn't cost £5 in petrol to get there.

£3.50 is cheap for a decent fish.

Most chippies are the same now, I like the old traditional ones that don't do kebabs and stuff, just the good old fashioned fish n chips or pie, peas chips n gravy etc.

Found one in Derby and its feckin spot on!

But on the plus side, when the financial squeeze took hold, official figures quoted for Ireland included :

minimum dole money 194 Euro's a week

average Income Tax paid, around 3-4%

Are those not accurate?
