Somewhere In The Ether…

Long gone are the basic ‘Beeps’ and ‘Boops’ of the old Atari days, replaced now often with full blown, soaring orchestral scores.

So, what is/are your favourite video game OST’s folks?

I’ll give a grand prize of my last jar of pickled eggs to anyone who mentions my personal favourite.

After the rudimentary blurps from my Commodore Plus4, I was blown away when I first loaded up Monty On The Run, on the C64.

The fact that Rob Hubbard managed to eke out such a genius, frenetic, foot-tapping, multi-track masterpiece, from the 8-bit SID chip, astounded me.

An absolutely brilliant entry in the series both musically and a truly classic game; So much so that it has been really-released on multiple subsequent console generations (it’s even on PS4)
