Do you go out, or stay in?

Are you spending the evening with family, friends or on your own?

We don't go out - though sometimes we go to friends' houses. This year we are throwing a little soiree for our friends! Can't wait.

I have nobody to spend it with so I either stay at home or work.

I spent it alone a couple of years when I was single. It's not too bad if you enjoy your own company. Good book, music and your favourite tipple.....and relax!

I have nobody to spend it with so I go to bed early and try to ignore it.

I would rather not though

I'm hoping to stay home and have a quiet one, will see how much pressure I get from others who feel like we all need to go out and have "fun"

Went to Club Sx last year and had a great time, but due to work and finishing late afternoon don't fancy the drive. So it's on the sofa waiting for the bongs at midnight

I’m staying in this year. My first year being single! I normally love going out but all my friends are married so no one wants to go out on NYE!

kinky land

Spent years at home with the kidlets so last year I went out and this year I'm going out too. It's a proper party but private so no door fees or drink fees needed and I'll know most of the kinky fellows. I'm excited

It's weird at first. Your circle of friends are ones you made as a couple. Next year you will be your own person with your own new friends

With you on that - I don't think queueing at the bar for 15 minutes to get a drink and paying stupid entrance fees is "fun". N x

Stockport

Last year wasn't in the mood for anything, so turned down a few things.

This year, few invites (family, friends, on here) and doing the curry and house party thing.

Will still probably be asleep before midnight

As we are working from 4am all day we will be knackered in the evening so will probably stay in and be boring in front of the telly with a few drinks

No doubt be in bed before midnight

Stay in these days. Used to head out when I lived in brum and London but these days it doesn't appeal. I don't know many people locally so it would be going out for the sake of it and spending a fortune.

I'll be spending it at home with my teenage son. I gave him the option and he chose to stay in with a buffet and films

What a bummer to be working! But at least you can chill in the evening.

"Working til 11pm on NYE this year then at work at 8am the next day.

New Year's has never been that much of a 'thing' for me."

Same for me - I'll be working till 9pm NYE then working at 8am New years day.

It's just another day for me - and a chance to earn some extra cash

If I wasn't working I'd probably be ignoring it and sitting at home in Pj's by myself and loving that I'm not in a packed venue being fake and spending loads of money

Haven't gone out for New Year in ages....too busy in most places and usually a ridiculous charge to even get through the door.

Chances are I'll be on here, unless I just decide to go to sleep!
