What's your favourite city and why?

Mine has to be Galway in Ireland. Been to quite a few places around the world but atmosphere wise, it's the best.

Soooo many but maybe Venice....for its car free bustle and it's uniqueness and the fact that this great city of many centuries may one day become a legend as the struggle to save it becomes harder. They have found that a lot of the damage has come from the cruise ships plying the grand canal as the power used to push the cruisers on has actually had an impact on the piles which support the city..obviously there is rising seas as well. Go to the Dogues palace and see the floor that is an optical illusion..it's unbelievable

UK - always love London, but it feels tame and corporate compared to years ago. Just my take.

Liverpool is really great and I love Cardiff and Bristol too.

Personally, I think Glasgow is pound for pound the best in the UK though. There’s a fierce commitment to culture and having a good time. The people are fierce, but lovely too!
