Wax play candles + hotel room smoke detectors!

Anyone experienced any problems?

Brighton - even Hove!

Good quality candles shouldn’t smoke much.

Get good quality candles that are specifically for wax play. I can't guarantee they won't set the smoke alarm off though.

Okehampton

Electric Thai hot oil massage heater (warm the oil in the bowl and pour; added bonus of being able to massage into skin, suggest base nut oil (if not allergic) with balm melted in (warming salve from Neals Yard is peachy)))

Put a shower cap over the smoke detector before you light your candles! Just make sure you don't forget to remove it afterwards!!

Wirral

I've used them in the Village and in a Hilton Doubletree and haven't had issues with either.

I guess it'll depend on how long you let the wicks get and where the detectors are in relation to the bed.

The shower cap tip is great though, hadn't thought of that!
