Yes. Just getting over 3 weeks of flu and now I'm getting a cold. I've hated all of December.

I was too floored with exhaustion to get an xmas tree and set it up for my daughter.

I’ve got a really nasty cough and cold. My taste buds are all fucked and I could barely taste dinner. My sense of smell has totally gone and I can’t smell anything, even perfume that’s right under my nose.

My daughter out my turkey in the oven for me and I didn’t realise til it was too late that it was upside down. Started carving it and wondered where all the meat was at

Had a 3 hour nap after dinner even though I didn’t wake up til 11 ish and then realised that I hadn’t finished an assignment that’s due in tomorrow so I’ve just finished that.

That's a thoughtful thing to do, shame it got spoilt, and the sad thing is maybe some of those who sent the pics could do with something positive going on in their lives.

I had a good xmas (although I am accused of being a Griswald at times!) As a kid Christmas was pretty grotty so made an effort to enjoy it more as an adult, I would say see if you can make next Christmas better (if you want to) and think of what changes you can make to achieve it (environment, relationships, health etc.) Theres a bit of time to make good changes.

No disrespect intended but I hate this attitude. I haven't spoken to my family for years and the amount of times over Christmas I have to explain that no we dont have some sort of truce and play happy families at Christmas is surprisingly high.

But what's upsetting is the amount of people that clearly think putting on a front and pretending everyone is happy is the right thing to do and that keeping up appearances is more important than mental wellbeing

Know what.....we all survived it, all lived to tell the tale including myself. Mine wasnt the greatest but its a day, 24hrs same as every other and to be fair, we could be so much worse off. Once everyone stops trying to fit into this christmas mould then the happier we will be.

No, I had a great Christmas despite both myself and one of my kids being sick, for the first Christmas in years I didn't have to spend it looking at my parents in various stages of suffering as they have both passed.

The ridiculous expectations that surround Christmas are not something I pander to any longer, nor do I expect my kids to.

Yeah,tried to look like im enjoying it for the kids but,i hate it all im afraid,it just gets worse,but im even worse at new year,although be glad see back of this year .Sorry for my family really

That's a big positive it's hard in any bad situation to focus on the positives but there's always something if you look, use that to help the person and they can feed off that x
