" thank you for that as i do agree with you but i'd love to hear what most of the people on here think as i'm doing a little survey

"If you think about it most education is just memory. You get taught something, remember it and then sit a test. There are plenty of uneducated brainboxes and a lot of educated people who struggle to hold a conversation or cross over a main road. Intelligence comes in many different forms and i believe most people will excell at something, it's just finding that niche" +1

"Uneducated, is a subjective term,a university educated person could not find water in a desert, hell many of them could die of thirst in Shropshire! an uneducated native will know the signs and where to look, which is dim?" Bit of cultural determinism about what constitutes education there. Your average bushman is highly educated - he'll have been taught by his family and elders everything he needs to know about the land where he lives, and lots of other stuff as well. It may be a different didactic form to that which we reognise in the west, but it's an education. Y

Y" Yes I should have used quotes to highlight the use of uneducated, as I said it is a subjective term. in summary No the terms "dim" and "uneducated" are not related, dim is a useful word amongst friends, as previously stated it means something akin to "blond moment" and is a friendly jibe in the right circumstances. Hope that helps to educate the OP
