I have yet to have any actual fun on here but have met up with 2 Women with what i would call a low self image! Just before meeting them they texted me the following! One was "Look for the Chubby Girl looking like a Scruff" who was subsequently too d*unk! The other was "I'm Fat with a Green Jacket and Messy Hair"! What is going on here, anyone?! I really would like to meet up with a Genuine and Confident Woman here - I am certainly not one for needing a drink beforehand!

If you say the right things to these women then they could become confident minxes. Paying compliments to women goes a long way. A lot of women with low self esteem will have a filthy sexy side to them that just needs help getting out. But like the other guy said make sure they're not just tramps ha ha

The phrases the women used don't tell you anything. It's difficult to read texts and make decisions about personality. You need the whole package. Voice intonation, facial expression, body language and general behaviours.

It sounds like you chose two women who weren't what you were looking for. So over to you .... my advice is choose more carefully. Speak on the phone and actually listen for signs that problems might happen.

OP, why didn't you make sure they were full of confidence before you arranged to meet them?

The women were obviously fishing for a compliment, did you tell the women they looked good or did you agree with them?

Maybe next time you get a meet you should say that fat scruffy birds drinking special brew are a turn off.

At least you have had a couple of meets which is more than most on here, btw did you turn the offer of sex down?

The ladies were probably very nervous and didn't want to seem overly confident as that can be a turn off for some men, surely you asked for a photo in before the meets so you knew who you would be meeting.

Agree...but think that many women lack confidence in themselves and their sexuality(meaning the way they think they appear to the public)...this is different from low self esteem and think that improving confidence allows your natural self esteem to show thorough without being seen to be a cocky know-it-all.

Right OP here! The point of my Post was to share my experiences here and see what people thought. I like the variety of comments so far - Opinions are good! Ok well the 'non d*unk' lady was fine and she indeed gave me nice compliments and I to her but for some reason she was down on herself - i did suggest a further meet but a no go. With the other lady i met, well that was a spur of the moment intiated by her i may add - we met in a local but somewhat noisy club late at night and she simply would not leave despite my best attempts! I merely wanted to hear what she was saying

I do realise that people are at different stages of life etc etc but why this negative side? Is it a British thing? Life is supposed to be FUN!

From what im seeing is that you had your 2 meets, probably had a nice time, but the ladies didnt want it to go any further from the social meet to the bedroom, maybe they were not ready for that yet.

At least they met you, were not timewasters, were genuine and the texts that they had sent you before hand was probably one way to lighten to mood ie make fun of the situation before hand for you both to laugh at on the meet.

I can't speak for the ladies concerned, but I do think that some people (men and women alike) use self depracation as a line of defence.

Meeting people with a view to that meet proving to be more than social can be a nerve wracking exercise for anyone and glimmers of self doubt do figure for a good number of people.

I have been meeting people off line for a good 10 years now and am no novice at this.

However, that doesn't stop me from being nervous prior to a initiating contact with someone I find attractive.

Will the person find me attractive enough from the pics to meet in the first place - and from that first meet, will they want to convert that into a sexual one.

I have self depracted on loads of occasions, but not because I expect leniency or for that to alter the persons perception of me.

I would hate to be anyones mercy fuck or last resort as meeting should be a joint rush for both parties with attraction from both sides.

I kinda like it too - I would sooner meet someone with the ability to realise that they aren't attractive to everyone and that worry that 'what if he/she doesn't like me ?' than I would meet someone with an inflated (and often misplaced) idea of themselves.

Self worth, awareness and image should come from within, but it isn't attractive when it borders on self glorification or disillusionment.

I am self aware, have bags of self worth and more than enough confidence, yet I still get nervous before a meet and I still self depracate.

So is it such a bad thing ?

I pwesonally wouldnt call that low self image id call that lazy, you can not like pysical things yourself like your belly or your nose but still have a wash, put something nice on and do your hair
