Starting a charity

I Intend to go citizens Advice for further information, I'm just wondering if anyone has created their own charity or knows of anyone that has?

Get in touch with the Charity Commission. They will walk you through it and all the regulations

To officially register as a charity, you'll need at least £5k in the bank, and more than 1 person on the account to countersign

You also need a committee ie chairman, secretary, treasurer etc

Mission statement etc

It's a lot of work but very rewarding

You need to keep really good accounts. Many fall fowl of misuse and people running off with funds.
