Does anyone else find it a turn off, if someone wants to meet you because of your race? For example, they’ve never been been with a black woman, so that’s why they are messaging you. Not actually interested in anything else on your profile.

Also using the term ‘coloured’. I actually prefer the word ‘black’.

There are lots of things that put us off but it is hard to say exactly what it is always on a case by case basis.

Clearly unhygienic or people that don't make an effort are two that spring to mind.

I see it more like another feature like big boobs or arse or clothes size or height. See it as an added bonus, if you don’t like the sound of them you can still tell them to F off

I wouldnt take offence, i had a asian girl wanting to meet me... she was hung up on the white thing, but tbh didnt bother me. As for the term black/coloured, its a difficult thing for example my peers would use the term coloured as saying 'black' was seen as a racist term back in time, coloured was seen as a non racist term. The problem is everyone seems to get offended so easily now days and were forever stepping on egg shells. Take the term being called a 'brit' its not offensive yet calling someone a 'pak*' is yet both are abbreviations for a country of origin.

Oh yes! Of course. In a nice way, then end up reporting and blocking them cause they turn it around and start being racist

Yeah but that’s life. You’re not alone and my advice is just move on. For every racist I’ve come across on here, there at least 30 who are most definitely not . Do not let the few spoil what could be a fantastic experience

Never thought of it like that. I think the word “p*ki* is often used as a racial slur though. X

Brighton - even Hove!

Skin colour isn’t an issue for me.

Each to their own I guess, I can’t understand being attracted to someone purely for their skin tone. But perhaps it’s no different to me being pursued for my devilish good looks.

Exactly this! Just because you fit what they're looking for, doesn't mean they will be what you are interested in; attraction is a two-way street
