I am happy with my confidence levels. I believe confidence is something you have to work on yourself. You need to believe in yourself and accept yourself for who you are.

Age, also I find is a factor. I wish I had more confidence in my younger days. I would of done more with my life, but having said that I am very happy snd am luvky that I have a great life.

Also getting older and caring less about what other people think. I don't give a toss whether people like me or they don't.

ahh, I think I do care if people like me. Maybe that's a good indicator of my behaviour? But I've learnt to accept not everyone will and you cant change that.

Not much, i’m probably overly confident all things considered. The only thing i lack confidence in is my parenting and relationships. Not much can help that.

I think lots of us are slightly under confident when it comes to parenting. I would sometimes wonder if our approach was wrong but we were vindicated when one of our kids on seeing some children behaving quite badly, turned to us and said "I'm so glad you didn't let us behave like that".

Are your children good people, decent humans? I bet they are. You did right

I (Luke) don't really want to boost my confidence. I want to boost the things that improve me regardless of whether I recognise them or not.

For example, I can appear to be very confident when I go to a job interview. What's much more important is that I can deliver the goods in that job. Having confidence without actually having the things I could be confident about is a hiding to nothing.

Sometimes just a change of clothes / trainers / shoes. Or even, a shave.

I’m quite a confident person although I get awkward when people say ‘well done’ or compliment things which I’ve done.

Good point...some peoples confidence outweighs their ability.

But I've also found in life, that peoples confidence gets knocked and they stop applying themselves? A confidence boost can bring out amazing traits in people?

I think confidence is quite easy to boost whereas self esteem is much harder. Confidence just requires practice & change (a bit of dedication thrown in never goes amiss) until something works then doing over ie practicing

Never been sure how you improve self esteem ... that's an incredibly personal journey I think

For me it depends on circumstances. Mostly what boosts my confidence of I'm meeting people of being interviewed is clothes and grooming.

For me self esteem (or self acceptance, self compassion) came first, and confidence comes out of that.

The one area of my life where I’d like to feel more confident I have serious doubts that I’ll find what I’m looking for. So maybe accepting that is all I really need.

I’ve lost weight and if anything, it’s made me less confident.

I think on here you get the quick confidence boost, but I’ll be honest, I don’t believe half the crap I’m told on here. Confidence in myself will come when I start to look and like what I see. Not the bullshit that’s given so freely on here

Definitely.

For me, I stopped giving a shit about my weight as a measure of my worth. I started losing weight. My worth is the same even as my weight and body composition changes.

But it's been a lot of hard work.
