Does anyone else think Christmas has lost its roots? It seems like a competition to see you can spend the most money on presents. All I want is a nice cuddle a glass of wine and a good movie ????

What do you all think?

I agree in part. But you're in control of your Christmas.

I've bought a few small thoughtful gifts.

I'll spend time with people I like and I'm not being sucked in to the crazy commercial stuff.

It's about choice.

Aylesbury

Couldn't care less about its roots to be honest, it's just another festival for us to endure.

I agree. I suppose I get sucked in. Can't wait for it to be over.

Christmas means different things to people and it can change year on year.

There's no rule book to say what you have to do.

I used to love family and friends over Christmas but not last 22 years. Grown up and away from it.

Usually working both ends

I don't rem_mber people once a year but it's like my sex life

Christmas is about giving and the best gift you can ever give is TIME

Visited a Plymouth store in mid sept.

15x8 foot display of xmas themed junk.

Baa humbug is far far too festive for my liking.

Nobody is making it a contest except you! The adverts are there to part you from your money, but you dont have to take notice of them.

Take control of your life and your Christmas, do it your way.
