So your out in the middle of nowhere and your getting really hungry to the point that it feels like you are about to collapse.

You won't be home for a nother 5 hours.

you can see 2 fast food shops down the street.

KFC and McDonald's

But you only have enough money to by one thing from 1 shop.

So no you can't play mix and match to make this easier.

Which would you choose ?

KFC

McDonald's

Go hungry and hope you make it home before you collapse ?

I would struggle to go that long if I was really hungry. I'd probably get a cup of coffee, salad and burger without bun in McDonald's. In an ideal world I wouldn't choose either.
