Come on, fess up and why? Mine is genuine, my ex won’t let me see my children over the festive period so I volunteer to work the two big days for guys who otherwise would have to work.

I dont hate it but that feeling and buzz you used to get has sadly gone

Think it's down to too many people starting it early like shops, media, advertisers and the pillocks who put their decorations up on November.

The feeling has been diluted

Manchester (she/her)

It can be difficult and stressful, which is intensified when things aren't well in close relationships.

I used to work in retail where Christmas planning started in June

It is now less of a hate and more of a “meh”

I had to go into Boots today (for something not Christmas related! I still have health needs, alas!) and the post Christmas sale has already started.

I'm feeling pretty misanthropic right now.

It’s New Year i hate. Christmas i find a bit magical because of my kids but i can see why some wouldn’t. It’s an emotive time of year.

I have had some horrible times that always seems to have manifested at Xmas.

I was planning on having a simple on this year but I’m now worried about a friend. So it looks like it will be complicated.

don't hate it as such, can just live without it now the kids are grown up & gone, tbh, would sooner use the money spent on christmas on a nice holiday or something

Yep. That's me, too. It's fun for weans and it's a day's rest for most of us.

Cheese, ham and onion on my toastie, though.

I don't hate it per se, but it's a time of year when I feel intensely sad and I struggle sometimes.

Meh .. it's just another day.

I will work in the morning then have dinner with my family.

There aren't any children in our family so it's just another day.

Lost its sparkle for me too.

Kids are grown up and left home and it just starts far to early. Add to that having to drive around all day as the rest of family expect me to go to them due to having no "kids".

Just a bit crap all round now

Dont hate it but dont really get it...

Went into a well known store today and watched people behaving like animals, common courtesy had left the building..

Hideous, but capable of detaching from the madness..

On a more positive note, as a sports fan,I love boxing day and delighted one or two stores are closing allowing staff to have 2 yes TWO days off...More please

That’s what we do, having said that we were never big Christmas spenders.

Up to a few days I hated Xmas and only entertained it for the kids ... was going to have xmas day on my own ( yeah yeah you can hear the violins)

Moving on it seems like its going to be a very enjoyable Xmas now
