So. What you got planned for Christmas Day?

I’ve just found out I’m going to be cooking Christmas dinner for a few “on their ownlies ” on Christmas Day.

Great feeling. Better than sex!!!

Oops. May have offended one or two of you, but what the heck. It’s Christmas!!!

I'm a Volunteer for a Lunch, being put on in town, so those people who are Socially Isolated on Xmas Day.

Those include Single, Widowed, or those who have no family to visit or who travel over, or with a few small groups, they are from local Care Homes, without any Xmas Day lunch arrangements. It's not for homeless or rough sleepers- they have other events.

Local businesses, incl the big supermarkets, donate the food, drinks, wines, gifts, and entertainment, even transport for those without access to vehicles.

A local Prep school has donated the use of their kitchens and Banqueting Hall, and an agency has provided Three chefs.

I'm one of 33 volunteers working from 10am to 5pm.

You don't sound overly happy about your situation.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Our usual family routine: breakfast, walk the dog, see local friends, lunch, presents, play games, eat leftovers and have a drink or several.
