Yah!

Did you happen to know that there are over 4000 varieties of potato in existence today?

Hmmm....Absolutely astounding and incredibly interesting information is it not?

Anyway, what is your favourite variety of the humble spud?

I love the glorious King Edward myself; It has a joyously regal name is is wonderfully versatile.

How will you be preparing your spuds of choice on Christmas Day?

As a bonus question: Has anyone seen those mono Segway’s? May I take this opportunity to salute the bravery/madness of all those who ride them

Maris Piper or sweet potato.

For Christmas - roasted with sea salt and olive oil and then I'm doing some cheesy mash (need to get cheese in somehow obvs).

Baked sweet potato with lightly salted butter, feta, pomegranate seeds, roasted cherry tomatoes and lambs lettuce is my absolute favourite way of eating potatoes. Closely followed by chips, cheese and gravy.

I like the potatoes we get locally which are Marfona potatoes.

Christmas day they will be roasted in goose fat.

I also want mash but the others are saying no

Got to love the spud.

I can remember watching my mum dig some up in the garden when I was a really little kid, I thought it was the most mindblowing thing I'd ever seen!

Brown and round! Scrubbed, part boiled then fluffed in salt and added to a boiling hot pan of goose fat.

In my opinion, there is no finer baked potato than a slow baked Idaho baked potato.

Crispy on the outside and a soft, fluffy cente. Ideal for generous application of butter, grated cheese, chopped chives, crispy bacon and all.
