What should one expect to see?

What is the dress code?

Are the floors sticky?

Is everything covered in cling film?

Is the lighting really dim?

Give us the facts please?

For all those that have never been to one.

Cheers

What should one expect to see?

Depends on the club. Dancing. People socialising. Maybe some flogging in the dungeon. Some fucking if you go in play rooms

What is the dress code?

Depends on the individual club

Are the floors sticky?

None I've been in

Is everything covered in cling film? Nope many have wipe clean surfaces, equipment and beds though

Is the lighting really dim?

In some clubs yes, just like in a nightclub

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

What should one expect to see?

People. It's really bad when there are no people there.

What is the dress code?

Up or down, depending on the club. Usually, never trainers and joggers.

Are the floors sticky?

Not at the ones I have been to.

Is everything covered in cling film?

Only the food, if it's one of those that do that.

Is the lighting really dim?

Yes and no. Sometimes it's way too bright.

Lots start in heels and soon ditch them. Clubs like chams the staircase gets tiring in heels

I used to wear heels and then hope to spend as much time off my feet as possible.

"Interesting thread. A question I’ve asked so many times and you never get a definitive answer "

It’s very much venue dependant, some clubs are dress down, some have wet areas, themed nights etc.

The best way to find out what a particular club is like is to go to it. They're all different.

The one I go to is like a pub with a very unprudish dress code. People go there to socialise. Later in the night the play rooms will be full of people doing all sorts of things.

It's all kept clean. I have no problem going barefoot. The worst I've ever stood on is a discarded condom wrapper (the contents always go in the bin once they've served their purpose)

I may just have to bite the bullet and go to one, but don’t have anyone to go with

I can tell you about the clubs I have been to but a general question about 'clubs' can never provide anything definitive.

I went on my own the first time. You're probably better off going on your own, as that will force you to socialise with people, and that's the way you'll get the most out of it. If that bullet is getting bitten, bite it properly.

Dress code = dress down in some club's,others have social area's were you can be dressed.

Are there sticky floor's = I always wear shoes, I don't fancy stepping in under towel wanking juice

No cling film unless it's a fetish night and you bring it

Usually mood lighting.

Some clubs are more 'pub' like, others are more 'club'slike.

Some are immediate dress down while others only ask you to dress down if you want to go to the play areas.

Men wear either boxers, a towel around the waist or naked to dress down. Women a towel, naked or some nice lingerie.

Most clubs you need to make an effort in what you wear to go in. A lot won't allow trainers. Dress how you would on a night out.

There is never any pressure to play and no should always mean no.

There are 'open rooms' where people can watch but need an invite to join in. There are also private, lockable rooms.

Hope this helped x

I just went for first time in to a swing club 9 days ago .was a step i was planning for some time ago already , but didn't happened the first times i tried because i didn't feel confident enough. Well that day arrivied 9 days ago and to me was almost like go to a normal pub , of course the club was very quiet . I went already few times and i wear exactly same as when go out or even like in my daily life , dress , jeans , skirt. The underwear is a bit more sexy than the one i wear daily.

Today a black dress with open back , black stilettos , stockings and the lingerie haven't yet decided if red or black

Xtasia have a really good interactive tour on their website. We've been to a fair few clubs before but came across the online tour when planning a trip to Xtasia. Looks amazing.

the first time I went on my own.

But I had a friend their in a couple, so I wasn't totally alone.

People are friendly but its still hard when your single guy and new. You don't know whats what.

I agree, looking at what clubs have going on and picking a night you'd be most interested in, is the best way forward.

Trying chatting to people who are going through here before the meet and even some organisers have kik groups to join.

It's all about diving in with both feet.

Dress code - depends. some are dress down/towels.

The one I attend is smart casual, no trainers/joggers. collar for men. see my avatar for what I've worn. some choose to walk around naked or in underwear no one bats an eye - i admire the confidence of those who do

no sticky floors or cling film. beds are wipe clean and always cleaning products in the rooms

dimmer lights in some rooms

lots of people socialising/dancing

I've only attended 2 different clubs but both are relaxed with very friendly people

if you want to attend a particular club have a look at the swinging club discussion threads

there's usually a thread running about a particular club night, join in the chat & get to know some on the thread who are attending

helps break the ice before the night
