For the ladies,

Is general self defence classes something appealing to yourselves, or something seen as daunting

And if you have previously been, what was the glaring factor that made you leave?

South Wales

The class closed due to lack of attendees.

I think the skipping warm up put folk off, it was hard!

I can relate to that, If I go to my training regularly, there's essentially no time of the day left

"The class closed due to lack of attendees.

Warm ups seem to be brutal across the board, I do Jujitsu so ours can be a killer,

I've seen the warm up to the class next door and it seems equally as bad

If some attacks you spontaneously for real, you don't generally get a warm up period..

No but practising the manoeuvre 15 times is likely to cause you an injury. If you're attacked for real then injury is out of your control.

I suspect they won't let you just try it again, & again, and again when it's for real.

That's very true, and as mentioned muscle memory and being able to carry out what you've drilled over and over always carries an advantage in my eyes

In which case sprinting might be the best move?..

Krav Maga is good also when I worked in the prison we had the Gracie programme which is basically like rugby tackling people and anti ambush training but even then you’re still never 100% ready for when shit kicks off. Adrenaline can fuck with your head.

Well in my (kink) take down classes, I discovered someone grabbing me by the throat makes me go floppy and purrrr so running probably isn't viable

But I did learn how to take them down

It feels like a challenge
