Do you ever wonder what it was like or I guess you wouldn't as you've always had the mod cons

Probably too young but I'd happily do it! No dramas and silly rows

I think there will come a stage in my life when I’d like to be more off the grid. I would happily do without all of the modern tech if we had to.

To be honest. I love having so much information available at my fingertips. Maps, music, porn, books etc. I work in engineering so the fact drawings were hand drawn on a massive scale is awe inspiring.

I could, having lived a lot of my life before the nineties but I wouldn't want to.

The internet is a fantastic tool as long as you use it and not the other way round and I love being able to use my phone in almost any location.

Yes definitely, no PC gone mad, no health and safety, no social media IMO

Yes there are pros and cons for what we have now but all seemed less complicated back then and that’s probably down to my age at the time

"People were a lot more respectful back then

If someone had something to say they would say it to their face...the age of smartphones and internet has given us faceless keyboard warriors and trolls on an international scale! I'm not saying people today are not respectful but insults and disrespect are more than they used to be!

Having info at our fingertips is awesome. Can learn and do almost anything.

On the other hand the progress in communication has bred a culture and mentality of living day by day to impress people who dont give a fuck about you. Life was more real before all this

Ironically fab is a very basic site, doesn't make use of a fraction of modern technology. It's success the clever features and design and people's ability to communicate and articulate.

100% agree. Life was so much easier back when you didn't feel the need to lock your door. X

stroud

100%!!

Moved to France which with the opening times and long lunches etc is like being back in the 70s/80s.

Took my work emails off my phone. No social media. No TV. Just use the landline in the house (no mobile signal anyway as quite rural ). Pretty much go offline at the weekends anyway now. Haven’t quite been able to give up mobile tech fully due to work.

All in all we love it !!
