Positive or negative

Are you a positive poster or a negative one? Do you like to have a good 'debate?'

I tend to just post positive things but have noticed a few posters will post a negative comment in a thread about something of no interest to them.

Is this to deliberately be controversial? I was always taught to not say anything if I had nothing nice to say x

I'm sometimes positively negative ... others positively positive

Mostly post for comedic effect ... no axes or agendas

Sometimes, if my guard is down, I may even post thoughtful sagely words

Often without throwing poop

I post what I think but do attempt to wrap it up in flowery blah blah if it’s negative.

It's the posts about certain kinks that I mean. The ones who will go on and say really negative comments about something they don't like or understand. Is this fair or should they just avoid them? I understand everyone can have an opinion about something x

No, but it might come across that way to others. I have a bit of a dry, sarcastic sense of humour that doesn't come across so well in text.

I do sometimes think that it may be best if certain posts weren't sent .. especially if things have been completely misinterpreted ... but then ... in a textual format it is difficult to get the intonation across ... something said wittily or sarcastically can be read as something serious

North East Scotland, mostly

It can be very easy for comments to be misconstrued on here, always more challenging with writing rather than talking. For that reason I think quite carefully about what I post, if I'm debating with someone or it's a contentious issue.

Generally I'm a positive poster I think

I personally wish they would just avoid them but sadly we can't always get what we want. Its frustrating when you start a thread looking for people with a shared interest and it just gets filled up with people who feel the need to tell you it's not for them. It's pretty boring to be honest and partly why I've mostly stopped starting threads unless they're silly ones or about totally non-fab related things like food .

I try and be honest and genuine with my posts, if something makes me laugh, I'll respond accordingly, if someone is being a misogynistic twunt, I'll tell them that.

Sometimes though I do filter what I post on certain topics as it may be misconstrued or keep certain things private to keep the vindictive people from having more ammunition.

I’ve joined in one of two debates when it’s something I feel strongly about I’m not really sure there’s a point because some just want a row not a debate. Resorting to name calling seems to be a favourite thing.

If a thread gnarls me though I’ll tend to just get sarcastic / defensive.

I generally find if you’re being negative you might as well as be shouting at a wall.

I think people post / try to post controversial comments just to get noticed / stand out.
