I've been put in charge of the family Christmas cheese board and I'm looking for specific reccomendations beyond your standard cheeses. I've seen a gingerbread wensleydale I'm curious about!

Thanks in advance!

Epoisses, Maroilles or Munster if you like stinky stuff. When it comes t cheese, you can always trust a Frenchman. The last two are quite difficult to find in the UK though. (-:

Époisses definitely - Waitrose do a brilliant one. Piave, taleggio and fontina are just sexual and great additions to a board.

Have you considered doing fondue?

On a scale of Conservative to champagne socialist, middling.

Do a fondue! Ohhhh with raclette cheese and gruyere and mozarella for extra string potential. Fuck. You've inspired me to do one now/I've talked myself into one.

They'll work with you to pull a great balanced board together and will recommend crackers and garnishes for each cheese.
