The age old debate has once again reared its ugly head, dividing families, friends and even regions of the country ??

Today's big question is simply "should Yorkshire Puddings go on a Christmas dinner?

Have we got a north south divide ?

Not if dinner is followed by Xmas pudding. But then I say Xmas dinner is entirely your choice. If you want a vindaloo then have it.

Yes but.... I always start a roast dinner with 4 Yorkshires and gravy. Then I might add 2 to my plate when I put my main meal on.

Of course, on every roast dinner. Proper homemade ones though, none of them frozen aunt Bessie type rubbish x

Only if it's proper home cooked yorkshire pud, made in a big square tin. Moist and flavoursome, not one of those hard and dry nasty round things.

Then a slice served to each person with gravy, as a first course, never with the main. It's to fill up the kids so that the small chicken (only rich folk could afford a turkey) will stretch round more and maybe even leave a bit of meat over for the next couple of days.

"Not if dinner is followed by Xmas pudding. But then I say Xmas dinner is entirely your choice. If you want a vindaloo then have it."

My local Indian restaurant invites regulars for a free Xmas day meal which I've taken them up on for a few years.

Quite interesting as they make what they'd cook if they were at home with family rather than all of what they serve here.

Was planning to cook but I might very well change my mind and make it my Xmas day this year if they have room for my mum

And I have had a takeaway Xmas eve and had that as Xmas day meal.

Joked previously that I only missed the garlic buttered sprouts with bacon croutons and they've said they'll surprise me

Yorkshire puds go with any meal not just a roast dinner. So why not have them with christmas dinner . Giant yorkshire the size of a plate and fill it up

As a third generation Yorkshire man, it's the law that you have them or Father Christmas buggers an elf if you don't

Also add a splash of henderson's to the batter mix
