I see it as totally different hope, for me, is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large. As a verb, its definitions include: "expect with confidence" and "to cherish a desire with anticipation."

"Is hope, the extension of suffering? "

To put it in to context of relatability, here's a scenario. E.G If a man on fab with no luck bagging his first meet, even after scouring the fourms for profile advice, and viewed all the men's photos for that perfect camera angle. Suffering great pent up sexual frustration, is the hope that keeps him banging on his keyboard sending numerous dick pics to strangers, the very extention of his suffering?

I would more suggest that the hope comes from the expectation of an eventual meet ... if he works harder then it is more likely to happen

When he loses hope then the suffering will follow ...

Sure I see that, but it's only natural law for the pendulum to swing backwards. The force in that it moves forward, will be equal to the force in that it will repel back. We cannot only have positive stages/events in our life happen to us consecutively. Tragedy is inevitably around any corner, isint hope just one cruel trick in a world of suffering as a whole?

But I do live my life posititive, and belive in the power of positivity. Lust for life is great. Life is about becoming a better person from adversity, helping others, and making something good from a bad situation. Been a stronger person so you can handle shit life throws at you. And rember if you get the shit end of life, just rember you was burdened with it cause you are stronger then the person that had it better off that wouldent know what too do if they had it any diffrent.

It has nothing to do with actual positive or negative life events! As it says it's an optimist state of mind an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectations for positive outcomes that anyone can work towards

Suffering is so very subjective though ...

Possibly but without it we die anyway. I'd rather have something to hope for than not.
