Say you have a meet one night everything goes well and you part ways happy and satisfied!

1 week later you are shopping in town and you bump into that person

Do you:

A) Acknowledge them, stop say hi and have a brief chat

B) Ignore them and walk straight by or maybe just a quick nod of the head?

Me personally, I would like to stop and say hey and just a general chit chat to see how they are, but I don’t know how they would react

Let me know what you would do in that situation

If they were alone I'd probably speak. If they weren't I definitely wouldn't.

Considering that I really take my time getting to know someone before a meet, I would put them on the basis of a friend, so therefore a quick stop and chat would be what I'd expect!

I only meet people a fair distance from me so little chance of that happening. But if I did see someone it would just be eye contact, no nod, and definitely no chat.

All depends on who i or they were with. If we were both alone i would hope we would be adult enough to exchange a few words at least.x

Surely multiple factors, and different for everyone.

Generally I would, say hi. But again it would depend on lots of things.

If they were definitely alone and there was npnposs8of grandma, kids or partner being round the corner we'd stop, say hi and exchange a few words. Any possibility of indiscretion and we'd make eye contact but walk past.

I suppose the biggest thing would be knowing what to do, for example... you may want to stop and say hi if they are alone but worry that the other person wants to just walk on by and by saying hello it may upset the other person?

It’s a tough situation I think, I agree that I would hope we would be adult enough to at least say hey and smile if we were on our own, just because it’s polite and shows that you respect that person and aren’t just using them for sex and more so doing what we all love to do??

I asked a guy once what he'd want us to do if we saw him in the street. He said "just smile and say" hello"". Maybe asking the people you meet would solve the dilemma

Quick nod of the head,to acknowledge I've seen them.

Wouldn't stop for a chat, you don't know who they are with,or they know who is with me.

Saves making any fabricated stories.

I saw a lady I met.

But she was in a pub with a guy.

We made eye contact but didn't speak.

Eye contact was enough in tgat situation .

I would smile as a minimum, and say hello on the way past of they were alone, nothing familiar, you never know who's 2 steps behind. Just to ignore them if they appeared alone would be a bit off imo.

I served a previous meet in my job, we obviously recognised each other, he appeared as a friendly customer to others, I appreciated that.

We see all of our good meets as friends so a little chat in the street wouldn't be a problem, however if they were with company I would not approach them to avoid any awkwardness between them and who ever they are with

That's the thing he was just a customer, nobody knows if or how you know people they could be a old school friend, neighbour or even just someone you chatted to in the queue at the supermarket it's how we react that's makes things awkward.

If we're alone and they're alone then yeah, probably say hi.

If there is anyone else with either party we'd ignore.

If I am alone (or seem to be alone) then I wouldn't have a problem with someone smiling and saying a quick hi. I am not one for small talk so I would probably keep it very brief, but no harm done.

If I am with someone else, I would rather not be acknowledged because it is likely a family member and that just gets awkward.

So I think the general consensus if, if you are alone and so is the other person it’s ok to smile, nod, say hi etc..

If either person is with anyone just ignore and understand why they have been ignored?
