Is an ideal of humour gendered?

I love a woman with a great SOH. They seem to have a great personality and I find it easier to communicate with them. But some of the women on fab can be a bit too serious. Where as,I find a lot more men on here with a great SOH. Is an ideal of SOH gendered?

I don't really understand the question. Surely ideal sense of humour is individual.

Personally I find a lot of fab too serious and the handful of people who enjoy mine seem to be mostly men but a good number of women too. Or maybe the men just feel more comfortable bantering with me.

No. It's just most of us women on Fab have to write profiles that use a mallet to crack a nut and be very very blunt. Otherwise we are inundated by idiots. 8 years of swinging has taught me this! My profile is nothing like me in real life. It does make my likes and dislikes clear. And it sorts the wheat from the chaff.

Putting on a serious face and tone.- I am straight has it comes. However, I enjoy having a laugh with either sexes, without it being sexual!

I find it hard to find people that fit my sense of humour, but maybe they are funny to other people and I cant bounce off people who don't get me, so I probably don't seem funny to them either. Not sure if it's gender specific though...

I don't find anything funny, or show any kind of hunour in any social capacity, or otherwise.

I hiccuped once and somone thought it was my response to humour. It was not, I had wind.

I am indeed a miserable bitch.

I find by text/messaging impossible to tell because actual humour doesn't translate well plus some people are amazing at the written word but totally different in person

I rarely do serious and it does seem to be women generally who don't get my soh. Until they get to know me, then they'll either love me or hate me!

I’m always really impressed by how quick and funny people are on here, I have no soh in type, but I’m told I am actually quite funny in real life, it just doesn’t come across in text?

Personally, in relation to Fab, I think trying to put your humour across and be noticed amongst the other funny commenters is difficult. I notice more than I let on and I see a lot of subtlety in most of the posts by the women on here that I find funny, whereas the guys are clean out there, pinned to the washing lines by their balls giving it all they got. Both sexes are funny, maybe there is humour that would be gender specific say, ex. a funny post by man that only the men really get and vice versa. For the most part though I would say I find both sexes on here as funny as each other
