Insomnia

Has anyone had experience of insomia linked to losing a parent? Lost my mum just under 2 years ago as well as a few other family bereavements,a family terminal illness and the work issues. Most nights I’ve done well if I get 4 hours sleep and find if I wake up I can’t get back to sleep even though I feel tired.

I'm currently having issues for similar reasons, I lost my mum and my son and it's been horrendous sleeping recently.

I was diagnosed with PTSD just yesterday and I'm now on medication to help, they gave me sleeping tablets but I dont think I'll be using them, for now at least.

A mixture of medication and counselling is on the cards for me, maybe its worth you seeing your gp for similar? Xx

I don't have experience of it but I'm really not surprised you're suffering from insomnia. What an awful time you've had!
