Just seen debate on Jeremy Vine..

Is it going over the top buying your pet dog an advent calendar?

Opinion seemed split which suprised me as i didnt think many would be against it.

Ps. . Can you all spare me a thought please over the festive period as there are currently 9 yes(nine) up in my house.

Mum, dad, 6kids and the dog

The right place

It’s a free country. There are a lot worse things to get worried about.

Its not going over the top but lets be honest its a bot of a waste of money as the dog won't appreciate it. Better to give the money to a homeless charity I would say.

Liverpool

I don't buy one for myself, nor do I buy one for my dogs. But what's the big deal? You open a little window/door/flap and give the dog a treat for that day.

People get extremely worked up about tiny little things that have no consequences on the outcome of the day, other than a dog being extremely pleased they got a treat.

Up North

My dog wouldn’t eat the treats, he would just bury them for other animals to find and eat them. So no I wouldn’t as it would be a waste of money. But if he did eat them. Then yes I would.

I can't see anything wrong with it, dogs appreciate you giving them anything unlike kids

I don't see anything wrong with it, it's just like giving your dog their usual treat but it's in the way of an advent calendar instead.

We've bought them for our cats before, there are far worse ways to spend your money. Kids used to love opening them and giving the treats out.
