I know that in this election the choices look pretty shit, but sometimes you have to hold your nose and take the least worst option. Personally I'm voting to get the tories out, but if you don't want that or any of the big parties then vote Green. They're not going to win but every vote they get sends a message to the other parties that they have to go green in their policies.

My hand is up! But... not a clue who to vote for. Steering clear of Labour or any party that has pledged to go into coalition with them. I want to stay in Europe but recognise that the country doesn't (didn't?). So, I feel I should vote conservative as they will follow through with BREXIT (what the country wants/wanted) but I don't like the BREXIT deal that's on the table.

Will probably end up voting for the Raving Monster Luny Party or another independent but, that's a wasted vote... Bugger!

Probably going to get slandered for this... meep... I generally find people who don’t vote to be the loudest to bang the drum about politics. I’ve heard of sayings before of if you don’t vote you shouldn’t have a voice.

The country??? 37% of the electorate voted leave in a referendum that where the electorate were bombarded with lies, social media manipulation, Russian interference and 57 varieties of Brexit. Every couple of years they send out forms with the electoral register information for that house on it, if it’s no change you just sign it send it back in pre paid envelope, that’s what I’ve always done. Oh and I tick the box that keeps your details of the public register, my junk mail has reduced considerably since someone told me about doing this.

The argument of not voting for Labour because you want Brexit to happen is silly. Labour have confirmed they'll get a good deal, then let the people choose about that and remain.

They will literally show you the two options. As opposed to the farce of the referendum where everybody voted based on lies and false promises.

Also.. you may not listen, but a vote is important. People died for their and your right to vote. Read the policies and vote for what sounds better for you and your family.

This is possibly the most important election you'll ever be able to vote in.

You've made your choice. You have a local mp who you could approach on issues that concern you if you wanted to.

I do understand how you feel though, I think many of us feel that we're not represented at all. I just don't agree that not using one of the main ways of getting our voice heard is the way forward.

It’s more than just voting because you’re a man / woman.

What about the 15 year olds and who couldn’t vote during the referendum and now still can’t vote. And then the 16 year olds during the referendum who are voting for the first time in their future.

You’re not just voting for yourself, you’re voting for a future and a country. I think that gets lost, sometimes.

I have to say for the first time ever I was tempted not to vote, but I'm my constituency were there was only 31 votes in last time.

So I feel my vote will make a difference.

A very sad thread. You will never 100% agree with the policies of a single party but you must surely have a preference! Seeing someone say the country voted for Brexit and so voting Tory makes sense as they’ll get it done is such a narrow minded view.

The country should never have been given that vote. They were. They were completely lied to. 52% that turned out voted to leave. That is not democracy. That is buying into fear monger it rhetoric.

The system is fucked. It needs to change how it is. The battle that gets shoved down our throats does not reflect the way to vote actually works. As I've said it is a reality TV popularity contest, the policies get lost behind the headline campaign of peacocking, and name calling, the lies, and the deceit.

Politicians can make bold claims they don't intend being truthful about, and have very little repercussions and consequences to those once in power.

They keep them vague enough as it allows people to be mislead and manipulated in to trusting/believing their vote is for the right cause. Be it personal or for the good of the country. This applies to both major parties. Neither are innocent.

Certain things should be auto upheld, If they say the NHS is not for sale, then bang. That should be set in stone and no chance of back tracking.

If they say freddos are back to 10p then they had better damn well stick to that!

OK seriously on the small things it's different. But the big shit that plays on people's emotions, and conscience needs to be held because that is the reason you got in to power.

Definitely over 50% of those that vote will be taking part in the popularity contest. The minority will be voting for actual politics and all policies provided by each party.

I just hope this time who ever gets in does the decent and honest thing and give themselves a good big pay rise and increase their expenses accounts and then have a good laugh all the way to the bank at the voters when they start complaining.

It will be more cutbacks on top of cutbacks on top of old cutbacks, but the politicans wages wont be getting cutback.

How long will it be until they give themselves a payrise??

The manifesto is like a fairy story. Its full of lies and empty promises. A well written script to tell you what you want to hear.

Its like a sales pitch. 90% real crap and 10% some other crap.
