Why do you like Christmas?

It's a question I think about every year. Just why do people like or look forward to Christmas every year?

I can understand why some people don't look forward to it for various reasons but why do people like it?

So, for those that do like Christmas, why do you like it or look forward to it?

Christmas markets....

Wearing me bobble hat...

The cats getting stuck up the tree...

Knicking my sister's Xmas stags...( Sending dodgy pics of them to her)

Sprouts...

Sprouts...

It's the one day we take time to stop and just enjoy spending time as a family.

Club Meets Only

No early morning school runs in the cold for 2 weeks! lots of lounging around & catching up with family & friends. Then there's the sales boxing day lol

Family time

Just us 3 and the pooch in a lovely remote barn in the Cotswolds.

As for the rest of the family, they can do their own thing.

When the kids were younger, I loved their excitement, and the joy on their faces when they opened their presents on Xmas morning.

Now they're all grown up, it's a chance for a few days off work, nice food, and a chance to catch up with friends over a few beers. It's nice enough, but I wouldn't say I love it.

It brings back memories of being a kid, I still get excited, especially finishing work, everyone seems happy. I absolutely love Christmas.

Worthing

Still a magical time of the year for me. I remember so many nice times from my childhood. I am hosting this year for parents and brothers family.

Usually because all my friends are off at the same time and the pubs are busy. Bumping into old friends and people I went to school with and just the generally cheery atmosphere.

When I worked in Sweden I also got 3 weeks off to come home. Unfortunately now I have a high chance to be working and away from home for most christmases.

Yes I love it and have always loved it. To me it’s not a religious thing. It’s friends, family, food, drink, games, lots of nights out with different friend circles, presents, relaxing, time off work, lots of family get togethers. It’s just the best. I love December
