mis-types and auto corrects leads cock leeds

When you get to a certain age in your life it becomes increasingly difficult to ask for things for christmas presents, chances are you have most of the things you need . Why I often get smellies or underwear, either that or they're subtley telling me my personal hygiene needs more attention

What do you buy for ladies or gents of a certain age ?

Biscuits. We all love biscuits although i would rather have a bottle of wine. Gift vouchers are handy too.

Not sure, TBH

I think this year I've asked for two books and a bottle of scotch

For the parents, brother and I now buy them experiences (concerts, theatre etc) but this year mum's health isn't too good and so they've both vetoed those kind of presents because "we don't know how we'll be"

Looking like nothing for each of them so far. Or an emergency box if chocolates for the sake of there being something to open

Experiences rather than 'things'...theatre/cinema tickets, lunch out, a tab behind their local bar for a couple of drinks on quiz night, something like that, perhaps?

I pay for my Mum's national trust m_mbership, because she can use it all year long. Last year I gave 6 family m_mbers cinema tickets for the Andre Rieu live stream on New Year's Day, and a contribution towards lunch together nearby beforehand.

I have a little less disposable income for gifts this year (and a huge inherited family), so I'm thinking outside the box a little more. Makes for a more interesting and personal gift I guess!

I know I've definitely acquired enough 'stuff' in my life, I don't need any more

Something that gets used up that you wouldn't buy yourself.

Ie expensive food, drink, cosmetics. Or an experience. Tickets, dinner, adventure.

Up North

I always ask for perfume. Or make up. Something I would use. My friends and I don’t buy anything for each other and have dinner out instead. Mum and Dad, I go to the theatre with.

Nothing! Only do Christmas presents for kids as it's way to commerialsed, unnecessary and indulgent

For the adults in my life I throw a lush dinner party or two as prefer creating actual face to face memories ... always done it this way tbh

Haha yes, presents are easier for those young and skint. Me and my partner are mostly just buying each other things we need, have put off replacing or things we have ran out of. My parents are harder as they get anything they want for themselves. Im making most of my Christmas presents this year though which makes it easier.

That's the kind of thing I do for my mum. Took her to Cologne for the Christmas markets one year.

I was foolish and didn't have kids so I don't get the same in return!

Not hand cream!!! Honestly, you hit 40 and you get given shitloads of the stuff!

It’s hard to suggest something without knowing the person in question - i like to personalise the gifts so it means something to them. And I find women easier to buy for than men, except my mum, my mum is a nightmare to buy for.

As I'm very far from family we just don't do gifts.

To few friends we always ask what each wants and named few things so it's options.

I think it's waste buy crap others not need or have already a lot from previous years. I want new Pj so that will be told to one friend. Gift vouchers is best I think atleast person can get what they want

I take notice of what people say about their interests/likes and just buy them something around that. Or just something that Id like to give them as it represents me thinking about them (ie buying something I like, so I get to look at it too )
