Humour?

Is there room for humour in profiles? I understand they need to be fairly short, (I realise there are many who don't get beyond pictures) but shouldn't they also reflect a personality as well as preferences?

Definitely, and a profile can be as long or as short as you want it to be OP

I don't see why not. It's your shop front so its ultimately up to you what goes into your profile.

My profile is pretty longggggg and I like to think there’s some humour in there! It tells people a little about your personality and that you don’t take yourself too seriously

The written word can be taken out of context so easily that attempts at humour may result in people reporting for offence

It’s a pitfall that a lot of people avoid

Your profile is your own feel fit to put what you like on it as long as it don't break the site rules. Remember though it can put people off as much as interest people but then its a good first filter.

Can be tricky to get right, but we've tried to make ours vaguely humorous

A lot of people aren't just after some sort of human sex toy. We like a bit of connection and/or turned on by a bit of personality. So I think there is always room in a profile for you to share a bit of your personality and maybe good (or bad) humor is part of it.

Mine is deliberately short, factual and non committal. I still get a lot of the kind of messages I'm trying to discourage but I'd get far more if my profile was less serious and uncompromising. But never think I don't appreciate humour in profiles cos I've cried laughing reading some of the stuff people put

Agree. You can't be in here without a sense of humour!

It's your profile. You run it how you like. If others don't like it ... tough

A profile is the window into writers sexual soul and if it contains humor then the profile writer would be a fun person to meet with but we prefer humor with a tinge of honesty!!
