I don’t bother chatting to anyone far away.

Seems pointless as we’re never going to meet.

I know...I don't mind a bit of travel but 100+ miles is maybe a bit too much! Especially if there's some mutual attraction and chemistry...it's just a big tease!

I think it depends on how much I get on with the person.

I would travel but within reason.

I love chatting and honestly distance doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'd happily chat for ages, get to know someone and meet with them hundreds of miles away, or not at all.

Similarly I also meet people locally. It's all good.

I'm on the south coast and am chatting regularly with lovely fabbers in North Wales, mid Wales and Scotland.

Whatever works, I say x

Yes beast lives 2 and a half hours North from me but we make the effort to see each other most weeks. December has been the hardest as we are only getting to see each other every other week due to me having plans and other commitments. This had been the longest we gave been apart since we met and it's so hard.

It seems to be pretty common; I’d chat to anyone from anywhere, even if anything more was unrealistic. A good conversation or bit of fun banter is distance-agnostic.

It would be nice to talk to people I could potentially meet that are within a reasonable distance, but I’m told the secret is getting out to the clubs; it can be a hard slog just trying it via chat rooms and the forums.

I do chat to some local people but much of the time we seem to be looking for different things and I get the feeling I'm being approached because I'm a convenient hole.

Some of my most interesting conversations are with people at some distance away. A few of them I'm very keen to meet, one of them we've made definite plans to meet soon.

Engaging conversation that makes me smile trumps geographical proximity when it comes to making me wet.

Yes, there are a few people who we want to meet and who want to meet us who are too far away to meet easily. We'll get there though. We met up with a lovely person over the weekend and had a really nice day with her. That involved travelling for us all.

If you really hit it off, just arrange to meet halfway.

I do find this a bit frustrating as a single but when meeting as a couple we will just arrange a club meet and make a weekend of it.

I feel the opposite to this. I prefer to meet people sooner not endless messaging etc. If local you can just meet for a casual drink/ coffee no expectations very easy to arrange. When someone travels a long way it's a whole different ball game. I dint feel comfortable at all.

Its frustrating at times, but doesn’t bother me and doesn’t stop me talking to people.

The conversation builds up the anticipation, you get a sense quite early on or whether your both up for travelling. If you both want it, you’ll make it happen.

This is just the way it always seems to go, yes.

I struggle to find anyone local who could hold the same level of interest, from both sides.

I guess there’s a factor of wanting what you can’t have?

Also, both of you know it’s never going to go anywhere if you live a large distance apart so more happy to chat. If you’re closer there’s always a case of ‘ it could so I might keep my guard up.’

But maybe I’m over analysing
