Because not so long ago they had a negative stigma and people realising now they are very playful well behaved loyal dogs it’s how you raise them they used to get a lot of bad press but no so much anymore

I had a staffy for 12 years before sadly losing him in 2017, he was the most loyal, friendly and placid dog you could hope for. Always ecstatic to see me, always good company, completely daft and wanting to play or go for long walks. They really are great dogs if brought up and looked after properly. I miss him terribly

I've got a staffy/Pitbull cross (rescued) and she's the cutest most cuddliest woodliest fudliest snuggle bunny that I've ever come across.(looks fkin' nasty though).

I'd definitely rescue another staffy cross.

My partner has two pitties, a dog and a bitch. Never in my life have I met such well behaved, friendly, loving, playful, and in the case of the male intelligent dogs. The bitch has the sweetest temperament I've ever seen, she's like a giant puppy. They're a joy to be around. Like staffies they're great as family dogs.

Staffs lovely dogs great with kids they do lick a bit tho

I have a mastermann now he’s 9 months and currently 54kg fully grown 80-90kg

(Lou) I grew up with a staffie from the age of 3, soft as muck she was.

It's how they are brought up, not the breed, and dog can be brought up to be nasty!!!

I've had 2 staffs, both absolutely amazing dogs, soft as a brush. Can't think why they got bad press. It's the owners not the dog.

Very intelligent, one of the top search dogs in Thames police. They were guilty by association, bad owners, for badass image.

They are intelligent and loving, require more effort and mental stimulation. As puppies they are gorgeous and cute and people love to post Facebook vids of them, they grow up, people can't cope or put in the effort with them so they abandon them.

We went to the rescue centre on Saturday and we was open to more or less any breed of dog but we fell in love with a big staff what was so loving and gentle and I really hope we manage to get him

They're adorable puppies but they're just as adorable when they grow up. A 45 kilo pitbull who's convinced he's a lapdog is the loveliest thing ever.

Treat any dog a certain way and you will end up with aggression or love. Doesn't matter if its the most pitbull type of dog, or the fluffiest looking cockapoo, both just as likely to be aggressive.

Ive seen both extremes of a lot of breeds.

People are realising this and adopting all of the abandoned bull breeds that just want a home. Staffs are the most abandoned dog breed in the UK.
