After my failed attempt earlier this week to depart Fab (due to the clever persuasion, peer pressure, and in some cases blatant bullying of others

).... I’ve since been informed that no one ever really leaves Fab for good - they always return.

This made me ponder. How common is UNLOS and return? Is it true that you can check out any time you like... but you can never leave?

Apart from the odd one who I'd very much like to return (actually, no I wouldn't

) most do seem to come back at some point in some sort of guise. I guess that this sort of thing can have an appeal. When I leave I'd like to think I wouldn't return but I don't know. Life happens.

I don't really see to the need to delete your profile instead of just hiding it, but I can equally understand it may be more effective in staying away longer.

If I were to go I think it would be permanent.

I wouldn't make a meal out of it, just leave then if I changed my mind I would slip back in quitly.

I used to delete a lot and come back. I suppose it depends why you’re here. I look at it as a Facebook replacement now really so probably wouldn’t leave. I rarely meet apart from socially, it would take someone really special for anything else and I have that now so it’s just a laugh and joke for me now really. Can’t see myself getting wound up enough to leave like I used to anymore.

the forums are like a little club within a club for some, like a chatroom for others and like a means of achieving attention they otherwise can't get for others, women rule here so a womans influence achieves a lot for those they are drawn to but the forums are a small part of the sites membership

Similar to me. I had a couples account before this one, with my current partner who I’m still with. (Who - disclaimer - knows I’m here).

In all honesty I think sometimes people just need a little reassurance. Because if they really wanted to leave they would not be persuaded to stay.

There is nothing wrong with that but you have to stay for the right reasons if that makes sense.

Yes, it makes perfect sense. Sometimes there’s a piece of the picture missing as a newbie, and when people give you the bigger picture and the benefit do their own experiences... you’re able look at things differently and reappraise your initial decision to leave. If that’s makes any cryptic sense.

Yeah I'm more self assured, I don't take me or the site too seriously, although I can be serious if needed

I know that I would be an acquired taste and perhaps not what 99% of the site is looking for, but I'm okay with that.I've made some lovely acquaintances from right across the forum and enjoy contributing.

This was me, my willpower is appalling and I wanted to fully concentrate on something else. But, you can still read the forum even without a profile so its impossible to ever really stop!

We were on for about a year first time around and left due to the sheer amount of time wasters and fakes.

But then, after a few months, it was just the memories of great meets. Of doing the things we can't just do as a couple by ourselves.

So we came back about a year or so ago... Nothing has changed...

I know a Lady or two who have left for good they say. Still in contact on Kik for the chat. We only socialised and met via Fab. Good honest chat. One found her new beau via Fab so our Social never went further. Happy for her.

Some just disappear by the looks of things completely.

Yes they are public. Anyone can read them but if not a member can't see photos or username.
